20304 Private Andrew Coats was born in Scotland on June 9th, 1887. He enlisted in the overseas expeditionary force on September 20th, 1914 in Valcartier, Que. At the time of his enlistment he was 28 years old, single and an engraver by trade. Private Coats would return from his service in France and die at the age of 55 on April 24th, 1942.
